Does he like me??? Please help?

I have been friends with this boy for a few years now. We always go to the movies and do stuff just me and him. I kinda of like him and i wouldn't mind if our friendship furthered into something greater. He is really nice to me and seems to like to spend time with me. We go to different schools and i have been told by my friends that boys find it hard to ask me out cos i'm pretty genuine and down to earth (if i don't want to go out with them i tell them, bluntly). Do you think he likes me too, or just wants to be friends?
