Do you think McCain's failing is because of Sarah Palin?

Do you think McCain would have had a better chance to win if he had not picked Sarah Palin? She don't seem like the sharpest woman around, not even knowin Africa was even a Continent and all. Then, it seemed like at all their rallies she tried to push for folkes to be racist, encouraged it even. She did her best to try to divide the USA. Do you think he would have had a better chance? I mean, aren't there any smart Republican women out there to choose from, if he wanted a woman VP?
