Lump on back of head?

i've got a couple of lumps on the back, right of my head. one is quite painful and about an inch by inch. other is smaller and hard, not painful. it hurts round the area when i turn my head to theleft. i know ''go to the doctors'' and i will next week, but wanted some reurance over weekend what it might be. i have recently had tonsillitis, and gettin over a cold now. the painful lumps also itches occasionally! been there for 4 days now but seems more painful now. dont remember hittin head but was a bit drunk monday (symptoms since tuesday, but cold also kicked in tues) any advice greatly appreciated.
