Does it amaze anyone else how we all fight with each other and we're just a tiny speck in the universe?

Just think about it, even from the vantage point of Mars, we're a tiny blue dot in a vast universe. Every single bit of life we know of resides on our planet. We are so insignificant, like a grain of sand compared to everything else, and despite that, we're murdering each other. We're destroying our home, possibly the only place which can sustain life. Doesn't anyone else sit back and think about that? It's amazing that we can't get along, that we can't work together toward common goals. What would happen if we're attacked by something else from the universe? Would we throw each other to the wolves? Or is that what it'd take to make us join forces?
