Why don't men have any say regarding abortion?

Socially, abortion is a controversial subject, with each side having strong viewpoints. There is no socially accepted consensus on the abortion issue. However, whether you feel it is right or wrong or whether you agree or don't, abortion is a legally protected right of women in the United States. Currently, the legal right to abortion is based in part on the viewpoint that the baby is a part of the woman's body during pregnancy and as such she has full and legal rights over the child until it is born. This viewpoint is obviously not accepted by all. I, personally, am a pro-life supporter, but I do disagree with the absurd comparison you make with surgically attaching someone to your arm. First of all, that isn't even a reasonable scenario. Second of all, all humans have legal rights so attaching someone to your arm couldn't even be done unless the other person agreed to it. An unborn baby doesn't have any choices. I prefer to think about this in terms of what is acceptable for babies after they are born. As soon as a baby is born, it automatically has protection and anyone who harms him/her can be charged with a crime. A baby can not live alone, it needs someone to care for him/her, but he/she still has basic human rights. You can not kill a baby or child for any reason regardless of how ready you are to be a parent, how financially secure you are, or if you suddenly have a falling out with the baby's father. I have trouble seeing the difference between a baby who has been born and a baby who hasn't. Talking about abortion is complicated with everyone bringing their own feelings, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, and ideas to the discussion. Regardless of what anyone thinks or believes, the current law is written so that the mother has sole legal ability to make the choice to have an abortion.
