Why does she change what she says?

Last spring i wrote to my friend that i liked her. Well she's straight. But we stayed friends for the rest of the year. Now with the new year here everytime we talk she keeps it to a few words and doesnt look at me. When im at her volleyball games she always looks up at me when they do their cheers before plays and thier warmups. I was looking at this 1 girl and looked back at her she looked somewhat jealous. then 1 time i caught her eyes and we gazed at each other for like forever. i wrote her another note saying that she cant even look at me when we talk in school. she writes back saying that she tried to deal wit the fact of me being gay and that i use 2 like her so we could stay friends. then that she feels uncomfortable around me. then the next month she says that we are fine and than if i wanted to talk 2 her in the hallways just go up n say somthing. but we can be walking rite next to eachother going 2 cl n not 1 of us saying anything. what is this a game?
