Smoking weed-- split a 40 sack...? help.. confused?

last night i baked in a car with 3 other friends. we smoked a 40 sack and it was dank. soo sticky n apparently very potent because i was soo high i barely remember anything. i thought the high would be gone by the morning.... but i swear i woke up high this morning? is that possible? and is it ridiculous that we smoked that much or what?
