Should I stop being friends with someone because they only remember the "bad times"?

My BFF doesn't remember how the alphabet goes after he gets past the elemeno part, AND he cant remember what comes after 15, but he CAN remember how I once hit a lil baby birdie one time on the way home. He never fails to remind me not to hit any birdies while Im driving because then Santa Clause wont bring me video games.
